What you'll do
I have two drawing techniques to show that will make you realise YOU CAN DRAW. Even if you have not drawn before, the training and experience I have of more than 20 years of teaching , will have results - I promise. This drawing session will give you a skill to practice later, by enjoying playing and experimenting. We will make at least two finished drawings, likely to be four pieces to take home with you. We will take a short walk to The Shady Pool at The Cedars where we will gather to draw amongst the 400 year old Eucaliptus trees.. the trees that Heysen drew! The first drawings we do will be how to look at the subject - not the paper! Anyone can learn to do this. Second I will show how to make a tonal drawing using Heysen favourite material, charcoal, i will show you how to draw with an Erasor! I will provide materials, and sketching papers that you can take home. I will show some examples of master drawings and send you the pages to your Airbnb Experience page online.
